Menton: A peaceful beach town, on the border of France and Italy, with it's harbor, many public gardens, baroque casino, beachfront promenade, an old town with atmospheric narrow streets, and in February, the lemon festival.

Shopping: In the old town, there are pedestrian only streets full of souvenir and local artisans products. Marche Couvert, an open air market every morning with fresh produce and local specialty products and on saturdays clothing added. Scattered through out the downtown area are several boutiques, one being Nero Giardini, an Italian mark shoe store. Although the shopping is limited here, one can cross over into Italy to Ventimille and San Remo in less than 30 minutes opening up many more possibilities.
